The annual Swiss Drosophila Meeting is the only annual meeting of the Swiss research community using the genetic model organism Drosophila melanogaster for their research, initiated half a century ago.
The Swiss Drosophila Meeting is a one-day event that typically attracts researchers from all major universities, including the Universities of Geneva, Lausanne, Fribourg, Bern, Basel and Zurich, as well as the ETH Zurich and EPF Lausanne.
The Swiss Drosophila Meeting is particularly valuable for scientists at all junior levels, because it allows them to present their research to experts and fellow students to obtain critical feedback before submitting their publications. In addition, the meeting gives them the opportunity to meet leading scientists, to start networking with peers and supervisors to establish initial contacts with individuals and groups with common interests.
This event is organized by board members of our MCB section and it is supported by SCNAT - Platform Biology.
